ABOUT THE ROLE
Development Tools team is responsible for providing best-in-class tools infrastructure and platform to enable engineering team deliver product with ease, speed and quality in the cost-effective manner
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of tools vision, strategy, priority and processes to aid and improve operational performance
  • Manage priority and resource allocation within his team
  • Define the tools/framework adoption strategy and drive the execution
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand the business need, in order to choose the proper technical solution toward maximizing business value but never compromising the quality
  • Responsible for high quality services
  • Participate in project planning, help the team during estimations
  • Communicate progress and achievements to other development teams as well as assist with internal and external communication, improve transparency
People management responsibilities:
Manage people performance to ensure high performance in your team:
  • Manage people to improve the individuals on technical and personal level
  • Take ownership for the managed team and implement quality and fair people performance management practices
  • Recognize talent and provide support for career development
  • Hire and retain high performing employees
  • Take action on under-performers
  • Ensure measurable goals are in place for all direct reports
  • Evaluate the team and team members regularly giving them quality feedback
  • Conduct thorough mid-year and year-end performance assessments
REQUIREMENTS
  • Degree in computer science, engineering or science
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as people manager / team leader role
  • Extensive experience with development tools such as CI/CD (build/test/deploy) systems, security tools (coverity, appSpider, etc) is plus
  • Experience working in agile environment and understand SDLC process
