Our European development centers, located in Dresden, Budapest, and Karlsruhe, play a significant role in the global R&D organization and the real-time Communication Group based in Dresden is steadily growing. Our office is located right in the city center, just a short walking distance to the river promenade and the historic old town with its landmarks Semperoper, Zwinger, Castle, and Frauenkirche.

  • Live and breathe AWS, Linux, and scripting.
  • Build and operate systems for a rapidly growing cloud-centric infrastructure for real-time communication.
  • Drive automation and auto scaling efforts.
  • Develop installation and deployment scripts to enable auto provisioning.
  • Explore concepts, ideas, and technologies in order to solve scalability challenges.
  • Build an interface to Technical Operations for the local development team in Dresden.
  • Build and maintain a close relationship with our colleagues in Santa Barbara, Jersey City, Budapest, and Karlsruhe.

  • Degree in computer science or related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Strong working knowledge of Unix/Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced skills in bash shell scripting.
  • Advanced skills in an object oriented scripting language like Ruby or Python.
  • Knowledge in object oriented software development.
  • Knowledge in software development process at enterprise scale.
  • Expert knowledge and exposure to network protocols and tools for system side diagnostics.
  • Expert knowledge and exposure to secure communication tools and principles (ssh, ssl/tls).
  • Knowledge of distributed systems development, tools, and designs.
  • Experience with commercial or open source monitoring systems (e.g. Nagios, Zenoss) is a plus.
  • Experience with automated host installation and configuration enforcement technologies (e.g. Puppet, Foreman) is a plus.
  • Experience with container mechanism like docker is a plus.
