The Tools Engineer is responsible for the software builds and releases on different platforms, including Android, iOS, Mac, Linux, Windows, and ASP.NET. The responsibility involves the development and maintenance of build scripts and installation procedures, as well as the maintenance of build infrastructure. The Tools Engineer is also responsible for maintaining the various collaborative tools used by the engineering teams at LogMeIn.
  • Maintain, develop and optimize LogMeIn’s automated build system and collaborative tools
  • Create and maintain internal technical documentation
  • Work closely with teams to fulfill their requirements
  • Communication and information exchange with other development teams
  • Knowledge of C# or JAVA or any OO programming language
  • Familiarity with software development's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Good understanding of software development processes
  • Basic sysadmin skills/System administrator experience
  • Basic understanding of networking technologies
  • Willing to learn new technologies
  • Familiarity with Version Control systems
  • Ability to read, understand and maintain existing code (and learn from it)
  • Good command of written English in a technical environment
  • Team player with willingness to share best practices
  • Experience with Mac/iOS development environment
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, private clouds
