The intern will work in the domain of audio and video signal processing. A short extract of current topics:

Audio Signal Processing
  • Evaluation of different speech intelligibility measures
  • Extending audio signals with in-band test information
  • Audio quality measurement exploiting sound classification
  • Data analysis of audio statistics gathered from online conferencing
Video Processing
  • Evaluation of VP9 Coding Tools and VPX Decision Making
  • Generic Way for Switching Video Streams
  • GPU-optimized screen capturing
  • Evaluation and development of post-filtering methods for intra-frame concealment
